Thank you Dr Kimberly for your kind and gentle spirit…

Thank you Dr Kimberly for your kind and gentle spirit in leading Roxy and me though today’s events. I appreciate you giving us this special time together.

Roxanne Alexandra Milman, better known as Roxy passed away peacefully this afternoon at the age of 14 1/2. She was a very good, loving and loyal dog. She won our hearts and it was love at first sight when we rescued her at the Humane Society in 2003.

Roxy’s purpose in life was to chase squirrels. She thought she could climb trees like her arch-nemesis and after making it half way up the trunk of a tree, managed to tear her ACL, need surgery and then have water therapy to recover, which she did very quickly. She then went right back to her antics letting the squirrels know who was in charge.

Another love of her life was food. Her favorites included frozen french fries, ice cream and anything that came home in a doggie bag or Styrofoam. We will always remember the time when a carrot cake was cooling on the counter top and when it was time to frost, it was nowhere to be found. Roxy and her doggie brother Bongo were licking their chops and looked quite satiated.

Roxy’s job was to protect her family from other four legged creatures – especially those on TV. She took this job quite seriously! When she saw a dog, horse, or even an animated cartoon animal, Roxy would jump up four feet into the air, barking at the intruder on TV.

Preceding Roxy in death was Pumpie the cat, who lived to be 20 years old. Roxy is survived by her younger dog brother Bongo, BB the bird and her loving human family. We are all heartbroken, and will miss her terribly, but had a wonderful 14 plus years of pure joy!! Love you forever sweet girl!
