Dear Dr. Kimberly, Your presence and gentle, compassionate kindness were such a comfort to Saucy and me yesterday. Please know how grateful I am for you, someone who extends and bends her own heart in experiencing such sorrowful moments with and in the service of people you scarcely know. Know that I appreciate how difficult that must be for you, and that I also truly appreciated you going to extra trouble to make special arrangements for Saucy’s care that were not part of your standard procedures. Your flexibility there means I will get another small keepsake by which to remember my sweet baby Saucy girl.
