It’s now my time to say goodbye,
I’m free at last, so please don’t cry.
The hurts I felt, you couldn’t heal
You did your best, that’s what I feel.
The life we shared was short, I know
But don’t be sad to let me go.
Your loving arms; your sweet embrace,
Will always be my calm, safe place.
The bond we shared was strong, it’s true
And death won’t change my love for you.
At last it’s time to bid farewell,
On pain and hurt we dare not dwell.
Dear friend I feel, though you must know,
At peace at last…I love you so.
